Digital print and fulfilmentWhen we needed to provide a complicated personalised communication for a FTSE 100 client, The Thinking Cap’shelp was instrumentalin advising and helping us manage the large amount of data and ensuring proofs were checked, right through to the fulfilment of the job.This was an important communication for our client and they needed to have the reassurance that the project was 100% audited, which The Thinking Cap facilitated.
As a result,three years later,we are still producing this communication for our client.

The Thinking Cap assisted us when we needed advice on where to place projects, particularly large print runs, and helped with sourcing envelopes in order to reduce costs. They provided quotations in an efficient and timely manner, which was essential for both our needs and our clients’ expectations. The turnaround and quality of print from the suppliers they sourcedhave always metour high standards.
Postage consultancy
At a time when we were considering the opportunities for saving money on postage costs for our clients, The Thinking Cap worked with us and gave advice on how to get the most from postal services and downstream access options. Through a number of face-to-face meetings,they produced cost reports which helped us to understand our options and the market. We are now in a position where we are on the road to saving in the region of £17K each year.
Data Security Audits
Due to the nature of our business, our clients require us to produce their employees’ communications with professionalism. Increasingly, someof our clients stipulate that we place their work with suppliers who have accreditations such as ISO4001 and the security accreditation ISO27001. The Thinking Cap helped us to produce a ‘Request for Information’ form and a proforma for carrying out on-site audits. The Thinking Cap assisted AHC with the on-site audits of our suppliers and their experience in this field meant a thorough visit and appropriate questions being asked. The next stage for us will be to analyse the suggestions made by The Thinking Cap and to discuss these with our suppliers. From the processes which we have adopted, thanks to the The Thinking Cap, we would be more than happy to use their services in the future as we progress our relationships with our suppliers.

Data Lists & E-shots
We wanted to contact just bus and coach companies for a targeted mail shot. We appointed The Thinking Cap who came in and managed all aspects of the job for us. The data was sourced and even de-duped from our current database so we didn’t waste money buying duplicate data. The print was also managed right through to the mailing itself. It was a very smooth process from data to mailing. The response was pretty good too!
We need to keep in touch with our customer base but wanted to keep costs to a minimum. So we elected to send regular e-shots. The Thinking Cap took our already designed e-shots and worked closely with our PR company and embedded the text. Every month without fail the e-shots were distributed and we received detailed reports and statistics on performance.

The last project we worked on together was a Product Launch Pitch for a new client, which included a large direct mail campaign. I got Lisa involved early in the creative process to advise our design team on how to get the best results out of the mailing. Lisa's input was invaluable, not only on the implementation, but also with cost effective postal solutions that saved the client money.
After we won the pitch, Lisa further helped us with the Mailing Data Base, which was huge! This involved merging data, de-duping & cleaning the info, then cold calling a selection of the contacts to verify info. Once complete, Lisa formatted the information into a usable data base for the client / mailings. Throughout the project, Lisa was a true professional, definitely a vital ingredient in our success and to the success of the campaign.

When one of my client’s requested assistance with a data capture project I recommended that they should discuss their requirements with Lisa from The Thinking Cap. Lisa was great at advising on the various methods of collecting client’s data and how this can then be used to communicate effectively with their clients. After various options were explored the client chose to use a simple feedback card. Lisa took away the requirement, arranged the design of the cards to the clients specific requirements, then organised the print and delivery of the cards in the agreed timescales.
The feedback exercise work really well and the client has now acted on the recommendations of their customers and has also adopted the new design which is now used on their printed material.
